Highlights, Platinum Hair & Color FAQ
WHAT IS A Single process?
Color applied to the new regrowth at the root area or all-over. We use ONLY the highest quality, ammonia-free, oil-based hair dye. If you are allergic to PPD, ask us about other options.
WHAT IS A GLOSS?
A hair gloss is a no lift, demi or semi-permanent hair dye that acts as a top coat to enhance, enrich, change, match, tone down or intensify natural or color-treated hair. Because it doesn’t create a line of demarcation, it is a low-maintenance process. A gloss is versatile because it can be manipulated from entirely transparent to fully pigmented.
WHAT IS BALAYAGE?
Balayage is a highlighting technique also known as hair painting. Highlights are freehand painted in a sweeping motion onto the surface of the desired hair strand or section. Balayage contours hair and produces dimension with a natural, soft look. As hair grows out, it blends right in with no line of demarcation. One can easily extend times between appointments at 12-16 weeks.
IS BALAYAGE FOR ME?
Balayage is ideal for ALL and suitable for all hair types and shades. Results can be dramatic or subtle, yet the highlights look very natural. For most natural results, we recommend highlights up to two levels lighter than your natural shade.
I WANT MY HAIR HEALTHY. CAN YOU USE COLOR INSTEAD OF BLEACH TO BALAYAGE?
Yes, if you don’t expect your highlights to be very blonde. Color is not designed for balayage and might cause brassiness. For highlighting purposes, we prefer using specialized highlighting agents designed solely to highlight. For the best results and highest respect for the hair fiber, we choose high-performing highlighting agents from EUGENE PERMA Professionnel.
However, I use hair dye to create lowlights.
HOW DO I GET DIMENSIONAL HAIR?
Through error and trial, I learned that the best way to create dimension is with simplicity. Low-maintenance and effective, balayage adds a range of tones in all the right places.
Can you get highlights and lowlights at the same time?
Yes. Depending on our goals, we might add a second color. It is usually a demi-permanent hair dye, known as a lowlight. We use lowlights to correct an unwanted hue, hair that looks too monochrome, to add a specific tone to a hair strand, as well as contrast and dimension.
MY ROOTS ARE TOO DARK, CAN YOU ADD LOTS OF HIGHLIGHTS TO MAKE THEM BLONDE?
We can add highlights within reason. Highlights are not meant to cover your roots into one opaque color. If there is too much contrast between the regrowth and highlights at the line of demarcation and your roots look too dark, you went overboard. Perhaps you should consider a different service.
How do i know if i need lowlights?
Lowlights are ribbons of color that are darker, and/or have a distinct hue. We recommend lowlights to women who feel their hair is too light, or too monochrome and want to add contrast. It is also an excellent way to try a particular shade of blonde, without committing fully to it.
I want to be platinum-blonde
Getting the right shade of platinum blonde depends on many factors, but the obstacle is not getting blonde. The biggest challenge is preserving your hair’s integrity and having uniformity. Dimension in platinum hair happens vertically.
how long does it take to get to platinum blonde hair?
In ideal cases, on short hair, the bleaching process might take approximately three hours. If your hair is longer, depending on your length, natural hair color, texture, and density, bleach might need to be applied in one to three sessions. The goal is not only to achieve the lightest pale blonde tone but also to keep your hair healthy. In some cases, this transformation might take up to two days. For the best results, and shiny, healthy platinum hair, please prepare for at least five hours and up to 16 hrs of work.
How much does it cost to bleach your hair for a guy?
If you have a typical short haircut, expect the cost to be around $250.
How Do I Go Back To My Natural From Bleached Blonde?
Going back to natural hair color after bleached blonde requires pigment reconstruction. Your hair will be cleansed and prepped for repigmentation. Depending on your existing color and hair fiber condition, it will need up to three hair color coats to add the missing pigments and achieve a natural, lustrous, and believable hue. The color layering is necessary to avoid unwanted dye pigments to adhere to your hair in an abnormal order and prevent fading.
What are the face-framing highlights?
AKA the money-piece, the face-framing highlight is a popular method that concentrates highlights from ear to ear on the hairline to add visual interest and bring attention to your face.
Cezanne Keratin Treatment FAQ
WHAT DOES CEZANNE DO?
The Cezanne keratin treatment is a smoothing treatment, not a straightener.
Cezanne softens and lengthens curls, reduces frizz, and delivers smoother, stronger, healthier, and more manageable hair. It also repairs hair damaged by bleaching overprocessing and restores hair from hormone changes or chemotherapy.
DOES CEZANNE MAKE YOUR HAIR STRAIGHT?
No. Cezanne does not make your hair bone-straight. If your hair is curly, it will become wavy. Hair will still hold curl and have body, but locks soften, become more supple, more elongated, and more defined. Cezanne makes hair silkier, and thus, it will look significantly shinier.
is cezanne keratin treatment safe?
Cezanne smoothing treatment is 100% formaldehyde-free, hypoallergenic, and dermatologist-tested. It does not contain any kinds of aldehydes and harmful toxins and won’t release any toxic gases.
DOES CEZANNE PRODUCE SIMILAR RESULTS TO OTHER FORMALDEHYDE-BASED KERATIN SMOOTHING TREATMENTS?
Yes. You get very similar results to their previous formaldehyde treatments without health risks. In some cases, frizz and curl reduction will be less than the results achieved by the formaldehyde-based systems.
IS CEZANNE USEFUL FOR ALL HAIR TYPES?
Cezanne is suitable for hair types with problematic texture issues: frizzy, porous, uneven textures, coarse hair that is difficult to style, and damaged hair by excessive blonding and chemotherapy.
When you wash your hair after cezanne?
When can you wash your hair after Cezanne?
Immediately. There is no down-time after this smoothing-treatment. So put it in a ponytail, hit the gym and wash your hair afterwards with no worries. Don’t forget to use appropriate shampoo and conditioners. Best choice, use the Cezanne Perfect Moisture shampoo and conditioner. It protects and maintains your treatment.
HOW IS CEZANNE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER KERATIN TREATMENTS?
You can color your hair on the same day; Your hair will still hold a curl if you want. You can wash your hair, use pins, or put hair up in a ponytail immediately after the treatment.
HOW LONG DOES CEZANNE CLASSIC KERATIN TREATMENT LAST?
The Classic Treatment will last up to five months. The amount of time ranges based on client hair type, texture, and maintenance.
HOW LONG DOES CEZANNE EXPRESS LAST?
The Express treatment will last up to six weeks. The amount of time ranges based on client hair type, texture, and maintenance.
WILL THE EXPRESS TREATMENT GIVE THE SAME RESULTS AS THE CLASSIC TREATMENT?
Yes. It will decrease frizz and produce smoother and more controllable hair like The Classic Treatment, but it will not last as long.
HOW IS CEZANNE ULTIMATE BLONDE DIFFERENT?
Cezanne Ultimate Blonde contains a blue-violet pigment built into it to reduce unwanted warm tones for the ultimate silky, shiny, dazzling blonde. The perfect choice for grey hair to reduce yellow tones caused by environmental stresses. It delivers the same results as the Cezanne Classic with the same longevity.
I WANT TO ADD VOLUME TO MY HAIR. WILL CEZANNE CREATE VOLUME?
No. While Cezanne doesn’t make your hair flat, the smoothing process by default, flattens raised cuticles and reduces bulk. Not suitable for anyone seeking to add extra volume.
CAN CEZANNE LIFT/CHANGE MY HAIR COLOR?
All keratin smoothing treatments can possibly lift artificial hair color because of the heat involved with the process. If you have bright fashion colors on your hair like pink, blue, green, or yellow Cezanne will most likely change your tone. We recommend you color your hair after the treatment.
I NEED A BASE-COLOR. CAN I DO IT BEFORE CEZANNE?
We recommend doing your color after the treatment, especially if you have gray hair.
